Easy to find at the corner of New Britain Avenue (372) and Cooke Street in Plainville. Situated on the same property as the old Cooke’s Tavern, a historic building, which dates back to 1789 – the year George Washington was inaugurated as president. The family-friendly atmosphere and ambiance of this historic building is hard to match, but the service here is top notch!

A favorite stop for travelers for over 225 years, and ours for the last 10, this colonial tavern has wide-planked floors, fireplaces, and memorabilia of an earlier age, and it feels very warm and welcoming.

J. Timothy’s has 6 public dining areas and 4 rooms for private events, with capacity for 12-90 guests. Both the pub and the pub-loft (upstairs) have several large TVs for watching sporting events.
